PERANAN KONSELOR KAMPUS UNTUK MENOLONG MAHASISWA DALAM MENYIAPKAN DIRI BAGI PERNIKAHANNYA YANG LEBIH BAIK |

During their campus experience Christian university students can be helped by the campus counselor to prepare themselves for a future healthy marriage. There are 3 aspects involved in this preparation for their future. To easily understand these 3 aspects the author has used the abbreviation: 3 P. These 3 Ps represent 1) Pemulihan (Recovery), Pencegahan (Prevention) and Persiapan (Preparation). Students can be helped by the campus counselor to recover if they grew up in a dysfunctional home and to learn what a healthy home should be like (Recovery). They also should learn healthy dating practices to avoid future difficulties such as an unwanted pregnancy before they are married (Prevention). In addition, when they have met and become engaged to marry their future life mate they can greatly benefit from premarital counseling together (Preparation). The campus counselor can give this information during their orientation time after their arrival on campus. Later during their college experience the campus counselor can give personal counseling as needed, as well as premarital counseling when they become engaged to be married. |
