This study is experimental research (using counseling practice), yielding quantitative data. The study was conducted at the PPA IO-741 Bina Kasih Kalasan, Jogjakarta. This study has as it’s background the observation that a number of the students, aged 12-19 years, did not obey their parents, as one example of their rebellion. This resulted in both the parents and the teenagers’ mentors experiencing difficulty. This research has as it’s primary goal to ascertain the role of Christian counseling in helping teenagers who rebell against their parents. It also will describe important facts related to Christian counseling as well as the problem of teenagers rebelling against their parents. This study has as it’s hypotheses: ‘it is proposed that Christian counseling, if correctly used, will have a positive effect in helping teenagers who rebell against their parents’. The results of this study proved the beginning hypotheses to be true. |
