PENERAPAN ILMU HARMONI MANUAL SEBAGAI IRINGAN NYANYIAN JEMAAT DALAM LAGU “BERSERAH KEPADA YESUS” |

This is a descriptive research study. This study has as its background the fact that very often hymns in the songbook Kidung Jemaat, are sung very differently than the composer intended. Sometimes the songs are sung with imperfect harmony, using only one voice, rather than using harmony. The study of manual harmony can be used to to produce a hymn (specifically using the song Berserah kepada Yesus(I Surrender All to Jesus)with the result that it has better harmony if sung correctly, even more so if a good arrangement is used. The data in this study specifically describes the resulting arrangement which makes use of manual harmony in the song Berserah kepada Yesus(I Surrender All to Jesus). The results of this arrangement have been used in worship services , however the evaluative data from church members, regarding the use of this arrangementin worship services, is not included in in this study because this type of information was not the goal of this study. |
