Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether or not the difference of motive in performing body and skin treatment reviewed from gender, age, job, and costumer income. Population in this research is costumers who perform skin and hair treatment at centers of Skin Care & Hair Treatment in Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling, namely by seeing directly the costumers who are performing the queue there by accidence, with the sample defined as many as 300 persons. There are five centers of Skin Care & Hair Treatment used as the place of research. The instrument used for data collecting is questionnaire. The Analysis tool used to find out the difference of costumer motive in performing skin and hair treatment reviewed from gender is independent t-test, while from age, type of job and level of income is one way anova. The conclusion obtained from this research is there is no any difference of premier motive among costumers reviewed from gender, age, job, and income, and there is a difference of selective, rational and emotional motive reviewed from gender, age, and income.
