PENELITIAN UMUR DAN KUAT TEKAN PADA BETON BERBAHAN TAMBAH LATEKS

Abstract

An attempt to reduce the brittle nature of concrete was carried out by adding latex in the concrete. It is hoped that the latex will contribute to enhancement in the ductility of the concrete, leading to a higher compressive strength. Another objective of this study was to investigate the curing time needed for the latex-enriched concrete. A total of 75 concrete cubes of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm in were prepared. Three cubes have the normal ingredient for concrete, 36 cubes of concrete mixed with 10% of latex in the production and another 36 cubes with 15% of latex. The compression tests followed the guidelines of SNI 03-1974-1990. Compression tests were carried out when the age of the concrete was 14, 19, 24, 34, 44, 49, 54, 64 and 69 days. The analysis of the compression test data was done with simple regression , exponential, and polynomial models. To calculate the age of cooncrete made from selected models of reggresion latex added thet the value of correlation coefficient best and curve natch. The equation of a curve that is suitable for concrete made added latex 10 % : =-0,0178 t2 + 2,987 t + 17,935. After didiferensialkan obtained from the latex concrete madeage added 15 % is 84 days. The result of testing, strong press concrete made added latex 10 % at the age of 69 days, was 181,11 kg/cm2 higher than strong press concrete normal at the age 28 days 176,52 kg/cm2. Strong press concrete made from the latex added 15 % at the age of 69 days is 136,02 kg/cm2.
