Blorong, one of the rivers in Kabupaten Kendal, is an important source of water for the community of Desa Trisobo. Unfortunately it often becomes the source of flooding for the city of Kendal. To mitigate flooding, Embung (reservoir) Trisobo, was constructed in the water catchment area of Blorong at Ulo River in Trisobo. Hidrological analysis on Embung Trisobo was carried out in this study, which covered the calculation of discharge, reliable/dependable discharge, reliable/dependable volume and kebutuhan air baku. The capacity of the reservoir was calculated based on the Standard and Criteria for the Design of Embung, issued by the Directorate of Water Resources and the Indonesian undang undang Nomor 7 2004. Result from the hidrological analysis revealed that the based on its topography the capacity of the reservoir was 696,005 m3. The demand of water for the community at Kecamatan Boja with 67,410 people was 80 liter/person/day. The minimum demand for water during five months of dry season was 488,592 m3. |
